Minutes
• The February minutes were not sent out but will be forwarded to Baylor for distribution by March 12, 2007.

Treasurer
• Carol reported an opening contribution of $50 from Baylor’s class for the checking account.
o The bank required a minimum opening deposit of $100 so Carole contributed $50 personally (to be reimbursed later).
• Bank balance is $100 less charges for printed checks.
• Lola contributed $50 from her class, as did Trudy Hall.
• Roy will get a check to Carole within the week.
• Class of ’56 has $100+ which will be contributed to Paseo Alliance per Carolyn McLeroy.
• Carole has obtained a tax identification number for the group.
• Carole asked how money was going to be raised in the future.
• Leon asked if more than 2 people (Carole and Barbara) need to be on the checking account. Yes.
o He volunteered to go to the bank today and sign the cards.
• Lola is the treasurer for her class and she reported there are tax obligations because her social security number is on the account.
o Carole reported our account is a non-interest generating account so there is no income to be reported.

Newsletter
• Barbara reported the draft of the first newsletter has been sent to the committee.
o She announced a change to the verbiage at the bottom of the letter stating that if people received this newsletter by U.S. postal mail it is because we have no email address. Future newsletters distributed by email only so they need to provide an email address to receive future letters.
o She is planning to send to everyone in the class of ’56, either by U.S. postal mail or email.
• Trudy asked why it was going out by U.S. postal mail.
o Barbara responded that each class could distribute the letter however they see fit. The ’56 class only has 30 people on the list without emails addresses and 21 of them are in the greater KC area.
• Kent asked that the class reps be listed in the newsletter and the fact that meeting information is posted on the website.
o Barbara stated this will be done.

Communication From Other Classes
• Leon reported receiving emails from a Patricia Coleman about Paseo alumni fund raising and social events and he cannot find out who she is.
o Barbara, Baylor, Carole, Doyce, Roy, and Jim Nichols ’58 are also on her distribution list.
o Barbara and Roy have sent several emails requesting more information from her without any replies.
• Roy brought up her KC Educator website on the screen.
o There is a page of services about literacy, tutors, etc. and a number of diverse announcements.
o Her website has a link to a Paseo Alumni site.
o The site shows a list of officers and says it is a dues paying organization. They have an honorary office who is a member of the Paseo staff. They are soliciting students, parents, teachers, etc. to join.
o Patricia Coleman is evidently a teacher (school unknown) that graduated in 1970.
• Leon wanted to call everyone’s attention to her effort and said she is evidently concentrating on classes from ’68 and up.

Social Committee
• Carol reported our first social event is the World War I Museum tour outlined in the newsletter.
o The museum has asked us to pay in a lump sum which Carole thinks is impossible. We will just have to stand in line and wait to pay individually.

Website
• Roy added a new page called “Honors” and has posted Bill Ross’ induction to the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
o The page can be split for additional entries or pages added if warranted.
• New additions to the site are posted under the “What’s New” tag.
• Yearbooks are a fun site to go through. The faculty section of the 1927 yearbook was demonstrated.
• Baylor asked if the icons for the individual class websites were added.
o Roy has added a series of buttons for the Alliance, class reps, class websites, etc.
 Reunions, photos, honors, yearbooks, hints are also buttons.
 Guidance for navigating the website and how to expand pictures is also present.
 How to make this website a home page has been added.
o Each class handles their roster information in different ways.
