On Monday, January 23, 2012,
our speaker was Giles Fowler, Paseo '51, former KC Star columnist,
teacher at Iowa State U. Greenlee School of Journalism and
communication, and author of Book of the Year, "Deaths on Pleasant
Street. Another record turnout was present to listen to his
lively presentation about the incidents detailed in his book.

46 former Pirates gathered at the Hereford House, 115th & Roe in

The Paseo Alliance luncheon was held at the Hereford House, Town
Center shopping center at 117th & Roe.
Tony Sanders, Paseo '78, from the KCPD proved to be an enthusiastic
and enjoyable professional whom we were fortunate to have speak to us.
Prior to his presentation,
There was a good turnout and everyone enjoyed
the chance to get together again. Classes from 1943 to 1978 had members
participating in the luncheon.

hot dogs, soft drinks and a variety of dishes
provided by the participants. The group photos included about 2/3 of the

| Around 75 Pirates gathered at the Loose Park Pavilion for fun and
fellowship. Some came early for coffee and doughnuts, while others
arrived later to visit and have lunch. Classes from 1954 to 1962
were represented. |

The December 2007 meeting of the Paseo
Alliance
was held in the Roselle Court of the Nelson Atkins Art
Museum on Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Following the meeting
several members toured the new Bloch wing of the museum. |

| A group of about 30 former Pirates gathered to eat, drink and enjoy
each other's company. Hot dogs and hamburgers were provided, while
participants brought other dishes and drinks. Despite a rainy
afternoon the picnic was declared by all to be a success. |
