Thanks for the note, Eric.  We're glad that you liked the site and appreciate your effort in sending the recommendations.  The list of Alumni is very large, including seniors from all classes except 1970.  If you scroll all the way through any initial letter (the B's for example), you would see that we implemented your suggestions some time ago.  The list of last-name initials appears at the beginning of each new letter.  At each end of the string of jump-letters are the links to TOP (of page) and END (of page).  Those should speed your search through the 17,000+ names on the page.  ... My dad Ben Boyer, born 1915, '33 grad from Paseo, attended Frances Willard also; said the classes were held in shacks on the lower playground while the school was being built. Cornerstone on FW reads 1928, so the dates in the article must be somewhat off. Pat Murnan, 1961 Paseo grad, said her dad was one of the construction workers on FW!

Meanwhile, you can enjoy those sections of your yearbook that are on our Yearbooks page.  Eventually we hope to have complete books for all classes that had one published, but it has been a slow process.  Keep watching.  PA

When requesting a change to the website, it is a big help if you tell us which page the requested change is on, i.e., give us the web address of that page.

In this case, it appears that the error is in a photo of your graduating class program, rather than text that we can edit.  Because of the much greater time that photo editing takes, this one will have to go on our "to do" list.  PA

Info update.

I'm trying to find a Paseo High School English/Literature teacher, Elaine White. Formerly Elaine Hammon and later Elaine Schlozman. There is an Elaine Schlozman that attended Paseo around 1957 as a student but this is not the person, I'm looking for. The person I am looking for was a teacher at Paseo around 1965-1975. She taught as Elaine White. She latter married Joseph R. Schlozman a graduate of Paseo H.S. Joe was my cousin and Elaine was a dear friend. I'm 68 and Elaine would be perhaps 5 years older than me. Any information would be appreciated.

Hello, Donald.  Every once in a while we get a request for an old Paseon, but unfortunately we do not have any for sale.  In fact, we do not even have a complete set of Paseons, but have been lucky enough to borrow those that we do not have in our collection, and are getting them published on the website (Yearbooks page) so you can see them there.  If you need a physical copy, we suggest checking eBay or Google frequently.  Various years do show up occasionally.  ... Thanks for your note, Lenore.  Your quest is a common one, and you can find some answers in our response to Linda Coley Cruse (click here).  Perhaps someone will see this note and contact you directly.  Old yearbooks turn up in odd places, and you may get one free or have to pay "too much".  In the meantime, please see our Yearbooks page, where you can see at least part of each of the books for which you are looking.  We hope to have all of the yearbooks complete by the end of the year.  ... Hi Mary.  Some day, maybe next year, we hope to have a database of all Paseo High School seniors.  Once we have it, we will publish it.  In the meantime, all of the senior photos, with names, have been published on this website (see Yearbooks).  If you look through the senior photos from those years one by one, you should be able to find almost everyone who made it to their senior year.  If they did not make it to senior year, the search will be longer, but you might still find them.  ... I found my senior high school picture on the Yearbooks page, and did some looking on  eBay- so far no luck.  I wonder if the company that published the originals would have any available for reprint. I'm just wanting to take a stroll down memory lane. Thank you for your help.

I was wondering if the alumni had any records of how many men from Paseo were killed in south Vietnam between the years of 1962 thru 1968. If you could help me on this work I would be very grateful. The police point me in the right direction.

I am the President of Paseo Alumni Association. We have been in existence since June 2006. The Alumni Association's motto is "Bridging the Gap and Giving Back". There is such a rich heritage and history of Paseo High School and we continue to "Remember Who We Are." Each year the PAA gives a scholarship to a deserving student currently enrolled at Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts. Throughout the year the PAA sponsors different events. Our last event for the 2009 year is a Pancake Breakfast Dance to be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009. I also have the privilege of working at Paseo so for further information on the breakfast dance or membership dues please feel free to contact me at 816.418.2286 which is directly to my office. I look forward to hearing from each and everyone of you.

Remarks: I live in Tucson in the winter and Park City Utah in the summer. I will be moving to Scottsdale Arizona in the fall of 2010. My husband Irv died in 1997. We were married 42 years and had 4 children. I am now the Grandmother to 12 grandchildren. My family is close and very fun. We travel and enjoy wonderful times together. Irv would be very proud of all of us. He was our leader, but we carry on and miss his great presence.

We held our 50th reunion in June and plan on having another one in 2014.

The PA has a yearbook collection with most of the classes through the early 1960's.  We do NOT sell yearbooks, but DO accept donations of yearbooks that are not yet in our collection.
Yearbooks may be found on eBay or other sources online from time to time.

Delores  (Bockover-1960) & I have lived in Arizona since I graduated from CMSU in 1968. I retired from the air force in 1995 and from supervising teachers and librarians at the women's prison in Goodyear, Arizona. In the meantime I earned my masters degree in management and was an adjunct instructor for Park Univ. and Wayland Baptist Univ. Hearing from former classmates would be a treat for both of us. Delores retired as a registered nurse, raised our two sons and is very active in various activities.

I live in Tucson Arizona for 6 months and Park City Utah for 6 months.  I have 4 children and 12 grandchildren.  It would be nice to hear more about former Paseo students from my era 1947 to 1950.   Irv Maizlish (who passed away) was a graduate of Paseo in 1947.  We met at Paseo and were married for 43 years.  I used to get and enjoyed Jody Waters Klines newsletter about Paseo High happenings.  It  was terrific.  I kept all the copies of her paper.
